Kitchen Wall

Initially the entire original bulk head was removed, however this also removed the vans original storage cupboard door, plus exposed the battery equipment beneath the drivers seat. We replaced the lower half of the bulk head and carpeted the top to make it feel more in keeping with the rest of the van.

An extra wall was built from CLS beside the kitchen, allowing for weight bearing items to be attached later such as shelves, fans etc. Veneered wood was added next to a carpeted beam on one edge, and chipboard brought the level up to the depth of tongue and groove, allowing for a flush finish to be added. This was contoured round the window allowing gaps behind to run a 12v circuit into the kitchen area.

On the opposite side a carpeted panel was screwed to the lower bulk head for attaching coat hooks/storage.

A final curtain will be hung in the gaps to block light and provide privacy.
