Insulating and Building the Walls
Investigating the walls took some time and research to get what we thought would be the best form of insulation. This is a part is often completed differently in different vans. We moved the outer ply and inner manufacturer ply wood from the panels. We then applied Dodo pads to prevent road noise/vibration. This was applied to every panel. We then added a layer of foil insulation, sealing the edges with foil tape before adding fibre insulation between the panel and the manufacturer panels. Then on the rear we carpeted the outer ply panels and screwed them back into their original fixings.
The front panels were left with just the original ply panels as the window was fitted in the offside front panel, and the sliding door did not benefit from a second panel. This also provided slightly more internal space.
